EXIF Specifications
Google Search It

A search for EXIF Specifications didn't reveal much that is available publically.  The best link I could come up with was an unofficial Description of Exif file format.  Supposedly this was created from specs  Pima's website but the two links I found referenced (http://www.pima.net/standards/it10/PIMA15740/exif.htm and http://www.pima.net/standards/iso/standards/documents/N4378.pdf  no longer seem to work and search on the same site did not uncover any such specs.

Check these out...  I have seen demos of this technology and it is quite "fun".  The reliability of the broadcast technology may limit its application because there doesn't appear to be any two-way functionality that would enable confirmation of a message being received.  What is perhaps most intriguing about these devices is that they are running a stripped down version of the .NET Framework/CLR.  You can, therefore, write programs for these devices using C# and Visual Studio.NET.  Excellent!

Hey: BibleGateway.com Is Different than NIV in Print
Google Search It

We were very surprised and disappointed to discover that the in-print version of the NIV is different from the version posted at BibleGateway.com.  Here are a few examples:

  • John 19:16 in the printed NIV is split in the middle with a title, "The Crucifixion." Surprisingly, the BibleGateway version of verse 16 is shorter and verse 17 actually starts in the middle of verse 16 of the in-print version.  In other words, part of verse 16 is placed into verse 17.   Yikes!
  • There is a space before a comma following O LORD in the BibleGateway version of Psalm 5:1.

Now these may appear arbitrary but we just happened to run across these two during a cursory look last night.  What concerns me is how many of these may be out there.

I took the time to submit feedback on the typographical errors here.
